Abstract

|
Displacement of implants in the posterior mandible bone marrow is extremely rare but can result from age, osteopenia/osteoporosis, asymptomatic bone marrow defect due to the deficiency of an implant¡¯s primary stability. There are some methods to avoid the complication such as obtaining a firm anchorage of the fixture within the superior surface of cortical bone and ommission of the countersinking drilling. Also, It needed to know the anatomic variations and scrutinize the patient¡¯s medical information. The purpose of this article is to report 3 implant displacement cases and review the causes, methods to reduce complications.
