Abstract

|
Displacement of implants in the posterior mandible bone marrow is extremely rare but can result from age, osteopenia/osteoporosis, asymptomatic bone marrow defect due to the deficiency of an implant’s primary stability. There are some methods to avoid the complication such as obtaining a firm anchorage of the fixture within the superior surface of cortical bone and ommission of the countersinking drilling. Also, It needed to know the anatomic variations and scrutinize the patient’s medical information. The purpose of this article is to report 3 implant displacement cases and review the causes, methods to reduce complications.
